Australia compared to the rest of the world doesn't consume too much electricity. You look at cities like New York, London, Tokyo and even a small city like Hong Kong. Consumes so much electricity for the neon signs and high rise buildings.

It does look great though. The city scene of these cities look great. Australia is doing its bit, hope the other countries will turn off all their lights as well

Hi Wayne

My name is Sirine, I am in charge of marketing for The Green Times (www.greentimes.com.au). The Green Times is Australia’s newest online green publication and directory for the green industry.

To help raise awareness of environmental issues and promote Australian green businesses we’ve just launched a new competition.
“In 25 words or less tell us what would you give up today to be greener and why?”

Great eco-friendly prizes are for grab!
First prize: A trip with an eco friendly car, 2 nights in an Eco-lodge, a wine hamper, organic chocolate gift basket.
Runner ups: Organic wine bottles, waterless carwash packs, and more!

I noticed that you are currently blogging about green living and writing many articles on the topic of the environmental news. Considering that, I thought you might be interested in participating in our competition and tell your readers about it so they can enter and win great eco-friendly prizes!

Let me know if you have any questions on the above. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Kind Regards

The guys at TurdHour® have organised for the duck shooters to change there targets. So instead of have a duck hunting season, TurdHour® will organise a street light hunting season, where the ex-duck hunters can seek out street lights that are on during the day and blow them away! That's one of the most sophisticated solutions to climate change that I've come across. Let's get on board with TurdHour®
